Total Artificial Heart Transplant

The TAH-t is a pneumatically driven pulsatile system used for the temporary replacement of the native ventricles and four valves in cases of end-stage biventricular heart failure.

Photographed for Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA, this was the first total artificial heart transplant performed in Boston, in 2012.
