(Port au Prince, Haiti - February 9, 2010) Downtown Port-au-Prince is a waste land of rubble and buildings waiting to be torn down. Some violence has broken out due to desperation. Here two would be robbers lie shot in the street after some street justice turned on them. After a devastating 7.0 earthquake on January 12, 2010, Partners in Health, with help from many Harvard University faculty and staff, worked tirelessly to bring aid to the stricken city and its people.
